Pavlov did this conditioning on his experiment with the dog and salivation. Pavlov noticed that his dog salivated when they saw anassistant who normally brought their food, even if the assistant didn't have food on them. There were 3 phases to this experiment; Phase 1: Before conditioning occured, Phase 2: The process of conditioning, and Phase 3: After conditioning. In these phases there is an unconditioned stimulus, which is a stimulus that makes a response without conditioning, an unconditioned response, that is an automatic reaction to a stimulus, a conditioned stimulus is an original neutral stimulus that paired with an unconditioned stimulus makes a conditioned response, which is a response that a conditioned stimulus makes. Therefore the dog would make a reflex reaction when he would see an assistant because they've adapted to the idea that when they come, food comes. Until the assistant comes empty handed several times the reflex stops, and it becomes extinct, that is the gradual disappearance of a conditioned response when a conditioned stimulus no longer comes with an unconditioned stimulus.

Skinner emphasized that an organism learns a response by operating on the environment, so he called this process operant conditioning, which is a how an organism learns to respond to the environment in a way that produces positive consequences and avoids negative ones. He analyzed how consequences would shape behavior overtime. Theres a given example, when a kid says "Momma I'm hungry", and he is fed, the child learns that doing that will get him fed. So he repeats that in the future when he may be hungry.

AP Psych-Per 1- Laura Aguas

Correlation Graphs

On the first graph, Height Vs Shoe Size, theres some realtionship between the variables. For example, there is one plot where a students' height is big and the shoe size is small, but in various plots height does seem to affect shoe size and vise versa. Therefore, i think there is a slight, positive correlation, and it does not imply causality, never does!

On the second graph, Hair length Vs Height, there is a strong, negative correlation. This graph shows us that the higher the height, the shorter the hair length is. There are few outliers that if they were to be thrown out, the correlation would be even stronger. Gender could be a big use of help to interpret the data because usually a female tends to have long hair, while males have short hair.

How do I feel about blogging?

Im Laura, this is my very first time creating a blog. For a first timer, I can say it was really simple. The only experiences that I had that were somewhat like blogs are Myspace, and Facebook. Creating this blog felt more of a professional need of having, than to just do it because I have to. I know blogging here will help me do high quality assingments due to my audience, and knowing im in a more challanged level of class where ofcourse, strive, and hard work is expected.
Unlike Myspace, and Facebook, Blogger, to me feels like its for purposes that really do matter. As I mentioned, this is my first time blogging here, and being constant in how I portray myself, I feel like it will boost up my uses in blogging. As I signed up for AP Psychology, I expected the unexpected. I knew I would be introduced to many different things I've never even thought about doing or heard of. However, that didn't stop me I push myself to bigger and better things with no limits. I have confidence in myself to do high quality work, and this blogging site will surely help me alot with that.
Thereupon, doing my very first blog here feels great! Little by little, im working my way up. Blogger is already having an impact in my education, and writing skills. I know it will be useful in many ways, as far as connection with my peers is concerned.
